If you were feeling pretty hard done by about the fact that Billy Ray Cyrus had only announced one lone show for when he visits Australia next year, then we’re about to make your day with the news that the line dancing legend has expanded his Aussie tour.

Last month, Billy Ray Cyrus announced that he was heading to Australia for the Crossroads Country In The Vines festival in New South Wales’ Hunter Valley region, much to the delight of country music fans. But now, folks who don’t have the privilege of living in the glorious NSW region are being treated to a couple of shows by the multi-million selling artist, his first Aussie headline dates in 18 years.

Announced today, Billy Ray Cyrus is set to perform at Melbourne’s Crown Casino on March 22nd, with special guest Travis Collins, and at Sandstone Point in Brisbane on March 25th. The Brisbane show is set to feature an all-star lineup, including performances from O’Shea, Caitlyn Shadbolt, Hurricane Fall, and the one and only Kasey Chambers.

Billy Ray Cyrus’ excitement about returning to Australia his clearly visible, with the muso stating, “I love the fans there. They love their music, they love their football and they love the arts. It’s a great country with great people and we love coming down there and playing.”

“It’s been 25 years since we kicked off the World Tour in Australia, so it felt only right to return to where it all started, with the brand new record ready to roll.”

The country music star used the opportunity to talk about his two daughters Miley and Noah and their music in an interview on Sunrise this morning. In a clear bid to find out whether Miley or Noah would be joining him on tour, hosts Sam Armytage and David Koch asked whether the pair ever join him onstage.

“You never know at different shows who’s going to show up where,” he said. “[…] We all love music that’s our passion, both the girl’s were basically raised on our tour bus.”

Koch ended the interview stating he was “hoping for a family reunion”.

Tickets for the new shows go on sale on October 3rd, so be sure to get in early to secure your spot for this undoubtedly brilliant tour.
