Melbourne rock n’ roll legends Blacklevel Embassy had gone in to hiatus as other priorities took over, but they were pulled out of their self-imposed hiatus by UK anarcho-rock-punks Future Of The Left in January of this year as they joined them on tour. Since then the band have spent the past 7 months working on album number 3 with drummer number 3, Joel Ellis, of Nunchukka Superfly fame.

Spending their time writing the new album, releasing albums with ‘side projects’, making children’s animated films, touring the country as members of Coerce and working safely with electricity, you’d think that they might not have had time for anything else. Fear not, however, as with the record button due to be pushed by Jonboyrock at Megaphon Studios in late October, they’ve decided it’s time to knuckle down and road test new material. Hence they’re heading out to play Melbourne and Sydney on what they have appropriately titled the ‘Play New Shit’ tour.
