Bliss n Eso made the trip to Melbourne’s Luna Park recently to shoot the clip for their return track ‘Dopamine’, transforming the already slightly creepy tourist attraction into an even stranger beast.

As they take ‘Dopamine’ on the road for their first tour in two years, MC Eso gives us a bit of insight into what it was all about for the band, as well as some behind-the-scenes shots. A bit of a change of pace artistically for the group, the clip apparently also brought back a few memories for Eso himself from a previous life.

“In the clip for ‘Dopamine’ we were lucky enough to feature a unique and original mask that was from the new Australian movie Boys In The Trees. In many ways it’s representative of our inner demons, following us around an abandoned amusement park.

“It was a totally different approach to doing a film clip for us as it was more of a art piece and not so much straight rapping to camera, which was original and fresh for us.”

“Being behind the scenes at Luna Park in Melbourne was pretty funny, because back in the day I actually used to work as a “Karni” at Sydney’s Luna Park, so it was a little full circle from slapping on my colourful uniform to using the whole park as our own fun house.”

“‘Dopamine’ is a powerful song,” MC Bliss adds. “It reflects that feeling of someone pulling you from the darkness and leading you back to the light. Saying no to the demons and standing strong in the belief that life is a positive and beautiful thing.”

Now, after a bit of time off and with new music in the wild, they’re back on the road. With their most recent tour named ‘The Circus Under The Stars’, celebrating their #1 debuting platinum record Circus In The Sky, we’re beginning to see a theme here.
