Melbourne chanteuse Sophia Brous is set to release her debut EP, which has been produced by Sydney super producer and EMI A&R head honcho Scott Horscroft, in coming months, and with the release of the first single from the EP, ‘Streamers’ fans are being treated to intimate Melbourne and Sydney club shows, as well as an accompanying video.

Backed by a crack band of musicians who are moonlighting from the ranks of Pikelet, Ned Collette + Wirewalker and Lost Animal, Brous’ songs evoke the widescreen majesty of Scott Walker and classic melodies of Morricone – spaghetti western soundtracks crowned by Brous’ extraordinarily expressive voice. The film clip for ‘Streamer’ was directed by Peter Savieri and shot by celebrated cinematographer Katie Milwright, drawing on to the screen Brous’ diva personality and setting it within a backdrop of hypercolour home video impressions from some other, unknown time.
