Daniel Lee Kendall has signed up with touring mates Georgia Fair for a second bite at touring together which brings a special double‐headline show to a much bigger crowd, taking The Marianne, Hold Me Now Tour tour to intimate venues in Wollongong, Sydney, Cronulla, Newcastle, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Byron Bay, Canberra and Melbourne across June and July.
Georgia Fair’s Jordan Wilson and Ben Riley started playing music as teenagers on Sydney’s North Shore, banging out Nirvana covers. Hitting up the age old tradition of playing acoustic guitars and learning the ancient art of song writing, they were ready to step up when it came time to fly to North Carolina and hook up with producer, Bill Reynolds, (studio whizz for Band Of Horses) for the recording of Georgia Fair’s upcoming debut album.
From the duo’s second EP Times Fly they have released the tour’s title track, Marianne, recorded in a home studio with help of old friends Boy & Bear and Lisa Mitchell.
Daniel Lee Kendall has busied himself over the last 12 months, unveiling his first two releases and gathering a live following. The Triple J Unearthed winner received both critical and fan attention in 2010 with his debut EP and the eponymous single Lost in the Moment. Releasing his second EP Talk The Night Away, it comes complete with the heart‐warming single H old Me Now.
Daniel Lee-Kendall has recently graced the stages of the Coaster, Peat’s Ridge and Playground Weekender Festivals, while February 2011 saw him embark on his first national tour, with Passenger and Old Man River.
