Having celebrated its 10th anniversary last year, Caloundra music festival has absolutely knocked the 2017 lineup out of the park, with a list of legendary names making for three very fun nights indeed.

You’ve got Australian rock icons of various eras, ranging from Daryl Braithwaite, whose iconic track ‘Horses’ is basically the song of the moment right now, and an in-form Grinspoon who are celebrating 20 years since the release of their debut album, to names like Spiderbait, Wolfmother, Kingswood, Baby Animals, The Black Sorrows, Killing Heidi, and even Pseudo Echo.

Not only that, but they’ve added the legendary George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic, plus others like Xavier Rudd, Drapht, Thundamentals, and good old Ronan Keating to cap it all off.

There are plenty of other bands to keep you entertained from September 29 to October 2, and you can check out the full lineup at the website, with tickets on sale now.

We’ve also got to hand it to Caloundra’s organisers for reasons beyond the lineup. The festival is leading the way for sustainability at Australian music events, and has adopted a stack of smart policies that other events really should be looking into, so you can camp and party to your heart’s content without feeling guilty about what it’s all doing to the environment.
