Following on from Violent Soho’s superb cover of Silversun Pickups’s ‘Lazy Eye’ last week, triple j have now gone and tapped Newtown’s favourite sons, DMA’s, to enter the j’s studios and lay down some sweet cover version goodness.

The DMA’s boys have a knack for taking pop songs and making them their own, as we’ve seen with their cover of the underrated Madonna tune ‘Beautiful Stranger’, which the band covered for a BBC Radio live session earlier this year.

So whilst it may come as something of a surprise that this time around they decided to cover Cher’s auto-tuned classic ‘Believe’ (without the auto-tune), it’s not like they haven’t done it before. You can check out the stellar performance below.

Not too long ago we ran through a few of our favourite Like A Version covers of the year so far, including Sarah Blasko’s incredible David Bowie cover, Guy Sebastian linking up with Paces, and Hey Geronimo mashing up Courtney Barnett and Regurgitator.

Check out our list of 10 triple j Like A Version covers that deserve to be remembered!
