Dolly is coming down under! American country music icon Dolly Parton is set to return to Australia this November for her first tour in ages and it’s promised to be a two and a half hour spectacular which will see her delving in to almost 50 years worth of hits, as well as songs from her forthcoming album Better Days.

Icon is barely enough of a word to describe Parton – she’s a Singer-songwriter, author, multi-instrumentalist, actress, philanthropist and businesswoman. She runs a theme park, Dollywood, she has written chart toppers across the world performed by herself and others such as “9 To 5”, “Here You Come Again”, “Jolene”, and of course the immortal “I Will Always Love You”.  She’s worshipped by the likes of Jack White (who could forget The White Stripes’ almighty cover of ‘Jolene’?) and has sold in excess of 100 million records worldwide, as well as collecting 7 Grammy Awards, 10 Country Music Association Awards, 5 Academy of Country Music Awards, 3 American Music Awards and is one of only five female artists to win the Country Music Association’s Entertainer of the Year Award.
