The folks at Download Festival have delivered the goods once again, adding a bunch of amazing acts to its already-stacked 2019 lineup.

Back in September, Download Festival unveiled a stunning lineup for its 2019 event, which now features a stop in Sydney. With the likes of Ozzy Osbourne, Slayer, Judas Priest, and Alice In Chains on the bill, fans were in hard-rock heaven.

Add in groups like Ghost, Rise Against, and homegrown heroes The Amity Affliction, and you’ve got one world-class festival on your hands. Now, the festival has expanded its lineup, welcoming some pretty amazing bands back to the country.

Kicking off this second lineup is none other than Canadian punk legends Sum 41, who will be making their first trip to the country since 2013. Since they last touched down on Aussie shores, they’ve released their sixth album, 13 Voices, which reached the ARIA top 20 back in 2013.

Likewise, Pennywise will also be returning to Australia, touring in support of their new record, Never Gonna Die. Pennywise were last here back in November of 2017, but these honorary Aussies are set to tear up the stage at Download when they deliver a set full of new classics and old favourites.

UK punks Slaves also join the bill, rounding out the international additions for the second lineup, but they’re in good company, with Aussie icons Thy Art Is Murder, Polaris, Twelve Foot Ninja, and Voyager also joining Download Festival in 2019.

Tickets to next year’s Download Festival are on sale now, so don’t miss your chance on seeing one of the most ferocious lineups ever seen on Aussie soil when it touches down next March.
