Stranger Things has undoubtedly been one of the biggest hits in the entertainment world in recent years. With the show’s young cast becoming more famous as the days go by, it’s understandable that they would try and branch out a little bit.

While we’ve already reported how Finn ‘Mike’ Wolfhard has his own band with which he loves to cover a bunch of ’80s classics, and we’ve touched upon how Gaten ‘Dustin’ Matarazzo is a huge fan of Pearl Jam, it turns out that Matarazzo’s love of music doesn’t just stop at grunge.

As NJ reports, Matarazzo took to the stage at New Jersey’s famous Stone Pony on Friday to play a set with his band Work In Progress. The first of two sold-out shows at the venue where Bon Jovi and Bruce Springsteen have previously played, the Stranger Things star used his opportunity to bust out a number of classic tracks.

Performing with his sister Sabrina, Gaten and the rest of Work In Progress covered the likes of Foo Fighters’ ‘Everlong’, Fall Out Boy’s ‘Sugar, We’re Goin’ Down’, and Paramore’s ‘Misery Business’ with a performance that was well and truly beyond their years.

While there have been rumours that Finn Wolfhard might one day make it down to Australia for a music festival one day, there’s been no rumours of Gaten Matarazzo’s band doing the same. Of course, we do have to wonder if he’d stick to the same formula of cover songs, making us question whether he’ll cover any classic Aussie songs when he does eventually visit.
