No doubt spurred on by the recent success of The Vengaboys tour and the forthcoming Aqua tour that has sold out shows all around the country, we’ve just caught wind that yet another throwback to the nineties are heading our way.

Yes, just when you thought it was safe to go back outside we’ve heard that an announcement of a double headline tour of Eiffel 65 and N-Trance is imminent. Don’t remember them, maybe their songs might jog your memory?

Eiffel 65 is an Grammy-nominated Italian electronic dance three-piece group, formed in the late 1990s and best known for their international hit “Blue (Da Ba Dee)” which went #1 here in Australia. Their other hit singles include “Move Your Body” and “Too Much of Heaven”, all of which appeared on their album Europop, released in late 1999.

N-Trance are a British electronic music group that has sold over 5 million records worldwide and some of their hit singles include “Set You Free”, “Forever”, as well as covers of the popular 1970s disco songs “Stayin’ Alive”, “D.I.S.C.O.” and “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy?”.

If this is all bring back bad memories, it should. But as long as ticket holders continue to ride the trashy nostalgia train expect more and more of these tours to pop up. We’ve contacted the promoter to get something official, but in the meantime you all better hold on to your butts because this year looks like it is going to be a bumpy ride.
