Elbow’s show at the Palace Theatre in Melbourne on the 27th of July has sold out ahead of their appearance at the Splendour In The Grass Festival on the following weekend. However, fans who snoozed a ticket sales time and now find themselves weeping uncontrollably at having missed out can rejoice, for the band have announced an extra Melbourne show the following day, Thursday 28th of July. Tickets for newly announced show go on sale this Thursday 9th June.

This year Elbow have delivered another collection of lush, orchestral and typically graceful sounds, complimented by Garveyʼs gravelly, emotive vocals – Build A Rocket Boys!, which debuted at Number 15 on the Aussie charts. Their fifth studio album in a ten-year-plus career, follows up the previous acclaimed releases Asleep In The Back, Cast of Thousands, Leaders of the Free World and The Seldom Seen Kid. It was the last of these albums that saw the band break through to massive commercial success and lead to sell out shows in Australia.
