Emma Louise has had a busy year and her schedule looks set to get even busier with the announcement of details of her debut album coming forward today.

Having toured the festival circuit throughout 2012, including a great performance at Queenscliffe Music Festival (check out our review of the weekend fest here) she also undertook  a 2013 solo tour where she was supported by Sleepy Tea,, and played some of Australia’s best live music venues.

Set for a March 22 release and shrouded by expectation and anticipation, Emma Louise has revealed the art work, title and track listing of her debut album – vs Head vs Heart.

Being fearless is often the hardest thing for an artist to do, many second guess themselves, take the safe option – but not Brisbane’s Emma Louise.

Just a few years into a creative career already blessed with highlights, Emma Louise is an artist not just controlling her destiny, but reshaping expectations.

The release follows what has been a particularly momentous 12 months for Emma Louise, with a swag of national and international festival appearances, sold-out headline shows around the nation and sales in excess of 35,000 units, rewarding her independently released debut EP a coveted Gold sales ranking.

Fans also rewarded the release and it’s feature single ‘Boy’ by voting for it in Triple J’s Hottest 200.

Add to that several international signings to Vertigo Universal and New York’s Frenchkiss (Local Natives, Bloc Party, Passion Pit, Les Savy Fav), and the local and international buzz surrounding Emma is getting louder by the day.

She’s also just been announced as one of the 40+ Australian acts to be showcasing at this year’s SXSW next month where she will showcase her music with the likes of Alpine, 360, The Rubens, The Beards, and heaps more.

Head vs Heart will be available for pre-order, Friday February 15 and released Friday March 22 via MGM.
