Every Time I Die guitarist Jordan Buckley recently told the story of a fan encounter that didn’t go as expected. While talking with a fan, he discovered that his on-stage antics had ended up saving her life.

Buckley spat beer in the air while performing, and a few drops landed in the eye of a woman in the front row. She visited a doctor the following day, thinking her irritated eye was a sign of infection caused by the beer. The visit resulted in the discovery of a brain tumour, which was caught early enough to remove.

So basically, him spitting beer saved her life. Sort of.

There’s already scientific evidence that says going to gigs makes you live longer, and this story is, somewhat anecdotal, proof of that.
