Carpool Karaoke fans were a bit disappointed when their favourite host wasn’t around for the Metallica edition, but he’s well and truly back in action for this new ones, starring who else but the Foo Fighters.

And what an episode it is, as the band plug their new album Concrete and Gold by belting out a bunch of their earlier hits like ‘Best Of You’ and ‘Learn To Fly’, and taking a trip to an LA music store to jump behind the drums – Corden included.

Best of all, while the dedicated episodes are now hidden away on Apple Music, this whole segment is free to watch below – not a bad way to gear up for the Foo Fighters’ Australian tour with Weezer we’re copping next year.

Foo Fighters have given us some great Aussie-themed performances lately, too, belting out a seriously great version of AC/DC’s ‘Let There Be Rock’ with The Hives frontman Pelle Almqvist, then another version of it on the BBC, and even flying to Australia to play a surprise gig with their covers band Chevy Metal.

As well as Metallica, country legend Billy Ray Cyrus also piled into the SUV with his daughter Miley and the whole family recently – mullet wigs and all.
