Foo Fighters shows are like a portal into rock history, with the band famously using their unmatchable charisma and musicianship to treat the crowd to a slew of covers that showcase that at their core, they’re purely huge music fans.

During the legendary band’s set at Melbourne’s Etihad Stadium last night, Weezer and the Fooies topped off the show with a scorching cover of KISS’ 1975 banger, ‘Detroit Rock City’. Weezer frontman, Rivers Cuomo took over lead vocal duties, lending his signature smooth falsetto to the karaoke classic, whilst Dave rambunctiously revved up the crowd to join in on the fan-boy jam.

A few lucky fans managed to get footage of the cover, an addition to the setlist on the last night of the tour.
