Frances Bean Cobain has been alluding to the fact that she’s keen to kickstart her own music carer sometime in the future for some time now, and has now teased fans with yet another snippet of a new tune.

Over the last few years, the daughter of Nirvana’s Kurt Cobain and Hole’s Courtney Love has taken to social media to share with her followers some of the music she’s been playing. In that time, we’ve seen Frances Bean Cobain cover a couple of classic tunes, including Jimmy Eat World’s ‘The Middle’ and Leonard Cohen’s ‘Hallelujah’, but recently she began to start sharing her own original compositions.

Now, taking to Instagram once again, Cobain has shared another tune for her followers, with this new snippet featuring somewhat of a more grungy feel to it, indicating that her late father’s music might have had a bit of an influence.

With lyrics that include the line “Please bequest my last request, for duty calls me and she says come  hither,” the tune sounds just like it would fit right in on Nirvana’s final album, In Utero. Check it out for yourself.

Back in April, Frances Bean spoke to E! at a recent red carpet event, where she discussed her place in the world of the creative arts. “With regards to music, I don’t want to pigeon hole myself and say I am a musician or a visual artist because I feel like it’s all encompassing and I feel like every bit of my art is related to the other,” she explained.

“So do I want to pursue my music further and see it come to fruition and see something further and see something palpable? Absolutely.”

While Frances Bean Cobain noted that the Instagram post was definitely not her first official release of music, she was also questioned about what her father might have thought about the music that she’s making.

“I don’t have an answer for that because I don’t want to speak on someone else’s behalf,” said Cobain. “I would hope that he would be proud of the human being I am even if he didn’t like the art I am putting out. That’s all I would ask of anyone in my life.”

With all these snippets she keeps delivering, we’re definitely getting very keen to hear a full-blown album from the keen muso. Let’s just hope it arrives sooner rather than later!
