If you’ve got plans this June, it’s time to cancel them and make your way over to Adelaide, where the annual A Day Of Clarity festival will be dishing up a stellar day full of Australia’s best live acts, all for free.
Adelaide’s Clarity Records has earned its reputation as one of the most beloved record stores in the country, and today they’ve announced the lineup for their fourth annual A Day Of Clarity festival, a free festival held across eight stages in the city’s East End.
Previous years have seen the city’s stages darkened by some of the biggest name’s in Aussie punk and indie music, and this year is absolutely no exception, with Sydney’s punk legends Frenzal Rhomb announced as the headliners for this year’s fest.
Local group The Hard Aches also top the bill, alongside High Tension and Tropical Fuck Storm, who are set to release their debut record this week. Hardcore heroes Mindsnare join the lineup too, while a litany of local acts will also be performing on the day, including a recently reformed Hightime, as well as SIAMESE, Bec Stevens, True Holiday, and Juliette Seizure & the Tremor-Dolls, just to name a few.
“Really excited to put on a line up of bands we really love,” said Clarity Records’ Matt Horvath of this year’s lineup. “It’s important Adelaide has an event that has a strong focus on local music and recognises the venues that help keep live music thriving in Adelaide.”
