The Gallagher brothers just don’t let up with their fighting and squabbling and despite Oasis breaking up, their constant bickering in the press is like watching a car crash – so very had to not pay attention to. After Noel announced his plans for his solo release at a press conference in London last week, and accused his estranged brother Liam of being too hungover to play Oasis’ headline slot at the 2009 V Festival, Liam has hit back at him, claiming that he had been diagnosed with laryngitis by a doctor.

He’s also rubbished his brother’s claims that he wanted to have advertising for his clothing label Pretty Green in the Oasis tour program. Speaking on Britain’s Radio 1, he says “Those are big lies that I’ve got to clear up, the first one about me being hungover — I got diagnosed with laryngitis for the V festival, wasn’t hungover. I do gigs when I’ve been hung-over, I’m a big boy. I’m not going to cancel a gig because I’ve got a headache.”

As for his brother’s claims that the advertising in the tour program was the straw that broke the camel’s back and precipitated Oasis’ split, Liam angrily denied it: “Them words, Pretty Green, have never come out of my mouth to Noel Gallagher. Ever. So all this about him saying I tried to get Pretty Green in an advertisement or Oasis tour programme is absolute s***, saying it’s the demise of Oasis, I’m not having it. He needs to know there’s two to blame for Oasis splitting up — one of them is sitting here right now talking, and the other one’s Noel Gallagher. It’s time he woke up man, he’s no angel. He’s breaking my heart.”
