If there’s one thing that Aussie music fans love doing, it’s getting together with a bunch of mates and heading out to a music festival. In the last decade, the number of boutique music festivals has undoubtedly risen sharply, but so far no other event has found a way to compare to Snowtunes – the annual event which is half ski trip and half music festival.

Returning for its fourth year, Snowtunes is getting set to drop its first round of bands on Thursday, and if previous years have been anything to go by, you can be sure that this is set to be a big one.

Located in the snow-capped mountains along the pristine shores of Lake Jindabyne, Snowtunes has made a name for itself as one of the most picturesque music festivals going around, and provides punters with one of the only chances they’ll have to listen to some amazing local tunes while hitting the slopers.

Last year’s edition of Snowtunes saw the festival expand to a two-day experience, giving punters twice the amount of time to have the time of their lives. Likewise, with a lineup that featured the likes of SAFIA, Gang Of Youths, Skegss, DZ Deathrays, and Tkay Maidza, festivalgoers were treated to some of the finest artists whose amazing tunes had soundtracked their year.

The 2018 edition of Snowtunes is set to once again take place in Jindabyne, in New South Wales’ Snowy Mountains. The lineup for this year’s event is set to arrive at 12:30 on Thursday, May 17th. If you’re already deadset on going (and let’s be fair, why wouldn’t you be?), you can already register now for the first release of general admission tickets, which go on sale at 9am on Friday.

Stay tuned for more information about which amazing acts will be making the trek for one of the coldest festivals on the Aussie calendar.
