Brisbane psychedelic rockers Greenthief have been picking up rave reviews for their swashbuckling sound which traverses the genre drawing comparisons which have likened them to the bastard offspring of Jeff Buckley and Nine Inch Nails. Since releasing their debut EP Anicca in 2009, the band have picked up plenty of radio play across the country and become a programmer’s favourite on Rage.

In 2009, the band unleashed their released their debut EP, Anicca, which made waves on the local scene with the single – Plea for Sanctuary picking up regular radio play throughout the country as well as their film clip receiving strong airplay on Rage ABC.  Playing alongside bands such as Numbers Radio and Children Collide, the band headed in to the studio earlier this at the world renowned Rockinghorse Studio in Byron Bay and recorded their brand new EP with legendary British producer Steve James (Sex Pistols, The Jam). The EP was mastered by Tim Young of the Metropolis Mastering Group (Bjork, Placebo) and is now ready for release this month, as they head out on an 18 date national tour to celebrate its release.
