No matter who you are, it’s almost impossible to have gone the last 23 years without hearing a tune by the great Phil Jamieson. Now, the iconic rocker is set to take his solo act to the people, announcing a run of dates for later this year.

Ever since Grinspoon first formed back in 1995, Phil Jamieson has been at the forefront of Aussie alternative rock. Whether it be for his powerful vocals, or his inimitable stage presence, Jamieson has been delivering the goods for plenty of years, becoming an integral part of the Aussie music scene in the process.

Now, following a massive year in 2017 which saw Grinspoon celebrate the 20th anniversary of their debut record, Phil Jamieson is set to leave his bandmates behind for a little while and hit the road all by himself.

“I’m going full rogue, solo, undercover operative, musical theatre on my lonesome, cabaret style, sit down, stand up, eat food, or not concert,” explained Phil of the upcoming shows. “I will be playing something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue.”

Performing tracks from his time in Grinspoon and The Lost Gospel, the upcoming shows are set to be a pretty unique chance to hear some of the finest tracks in Aussie rock being played in an intimate setting.

Kicking off at the Caloundra Music Festival at the end of September, Phil Jamieson is set to hit up Western Australia, Queensland, New South Wales, the ACT, and Victoria throughout November.

Tickets to these shows go on sale from 9am on Friday, August 17th.
