It’s been a long, long time since we’ve heard the dulcet indie-folk of Grizzly Bear – five years in fact. But now, they’ve returned from the wilderness with a new track, the first since the 2012 release of their last album, Shields.

As Gorilla Vs. Bear reported, ‘Three Rings’ debuted in New Zealand this morning, and echoes their earlier work while hinting at some exciting experimentation on an as-yet-unannounced fifth album.

Considering the long hype campaign that preceded the release, involving a series of teaser videos and an updated website, we can’t imagine more new music is far off. For now, you can give their thoughtful new number a listen below.
