Listeners of Hamish and Andy will know of their band Cool Boys and the Frontman, where the duo, along with button pusher Jack Post, play gigs that comprise of one song only, each time with a different frontman taking the lead vocals.

There are numerous other novelty elements in play each time — costumes, and private jets, and odd shows in odd places — but that’s the main gist of it.

Here’s Guy Sebastian and the band belting through a version of ‘Long Way To The Top’ in Byron last year.

This time around they are performing Queen’s ‘We Are The Champions’ at various venues around the country, including a massive farewell show announced last night: December 1 at Margaret Court Arena, which sits roughly 6,000 people.

Tickets will be $10, which is cheap for an arena show. No word yet on what else will occur at the gig, but you’ve gotta assume it’ll go for longer than three-and-a-half minutes.

Check out the band’s first run-through of ‘We Are The Champions’, below. It’s rusty, but quite impressive for a first bash.
