This year’s inaugural edition of Download Festival is already looking pretty sweet, and now it has just gotten that little bit better with the addition of a couple of exceptional Aussie acts.

When the lineup for Download Festival was announced back in November, fans of heavy metal and punk were understandably salivating. With the likes of Prophets Of Rage, Korn, NOFX, Limp Bizkit, and Suicidal Tendencies on the bill, it’s undoubtedly set to be an absolutely huge event.

However, following the departure of Cursed Earth and Alpha Wolf from the lineup just a matter of days ago, the lineup was left with a small hole that needed filling. Now, two of Australia’s finest have stepped forward to help out.

Announced today, Melbourne’s High Tension and Perth’s Make Them Suffer have joined an already stacked lineup, and are set to absolutely blow their audiences away. With Make Them Suffer still riding high off the success of last year’s Worlds Apart, and High Tension  continuing to deliver the exceptional live shows that they’re known for, Download Festival audiences are certainly in for a treat.

Of course, if you can’t make your way over to Melbourne for Download Festival this March, plenty of acts have announced sideshows for their time in the country, including Limp Bizkit, Gojira, Mastodon, Suicidal Tendencies, Prophets Of Rage, NOFX, Good Charlotte, and many more.

Tickets to the inaugural Download Festival date are on sale now, and with it slowly getting closer, there’s no time to sleep on what is set to be an amazing day of heavy tunes.
