If you’ve found yourself looking up videos on YouTube in the last few years, the chances are pretty good that you would have come across a video from English musician Jacob Collier. Now, this online musical sensation is heading to Australia for the first time.

Having first begun uploading layered, split-screen videos of cover songs back in 2011 at the age of 17, Jacob Collier soon became a viral star, with his performances gaining him all sorts of fans, including Herbie Hancock, Pat Metheny, and Chick Corea. In fact, one fan, legendary producer Quincy Jones, was so taken by Collier’s talent that he even signed him to his own record label.

in 2016, Collier released his debut record, In My Room, which as the title suggests, was completely recorded and produced in the artist’s bedroom. Following some moderate chart success, plenty of critical acclaim, and even a couple of Grammy Awards, Collier kept on touring the world, though he never managed to make it to Australia. Until now…

Yes, Jacob Collier has today announced that he’s set to make his debut trip to Australia this April, playing two exclusive shows in Sydney and Melbourne, giving Australian audiences the chance to finally see why this English muso is highly-revered.
