Beware wardrobe malfunctions Australia, for Janet Jackson is heading down under for her dubiously titled ‘Number Ones’ tour. Clearly not thinking about the other connotations of the tour title, the tour is set to celebrate her 35 Number One hits. (Looks like they may have been including a few Japanese Number ones in that figure).

The tour sees her wanting to get ‘up close and personal’ with her fans and performing in venues that are intimate in comparison to the usual arenas she has played before. Michael jackson’s little sister performs a virtual duet with her deceased brother which she sees as part of the grieving process, and treats fans to songs from her Number Ones 35 song double CD as well as all those hits that became part of commercial radio furniture in the 1980s and 1990s, such as ‘Miss You Much’, ‘Alright’, ‘That’s the Way Love Goes’, ‘Rhythm Nation’, ‘Escapade’ and ‘All for You’.

Arts Centre State Theatre, Melbourne on October 26 and 27
