While the music community in Australia has rallied to raise money for the Queensland and Victorian flood relief, the Christchurch New Zealand earthquake relief and the Japanese Earthquake relief effort, the UK has pulled out the big guns for a massive gig next month. Record labels Sony and Universal have joined forces for the super gig which is likely to be held at London’s Wembley Arena next month.

Promoters Live Nation are also involved in the planning for the event, which is expected to be screened live on the BBC in the UK and NBC in the USA.  While no names have been confirmed for the event, potential lineups being thrown about include Coldplay and Elton John.
