The rumoured Jeff Buckley biopic has been confirmed, with Twilight star Robert Pattison still a front runner to play the lead.

It is unclear just how much of Buckley’s life will be portrayed in the film, although the producers, which include his mother Mary Guibert, have optioned David Browne’s book ‘Dream Brother: The Lives and Music of Jeff and Tim Buckley’ which covers also covers his father’s struggle with drugs and alcohol, as well as having the rights to many of his songs.

The film will be directed by Welcome To The Rileys director Jake Scott, son of Bladerunner director Ridley Scott, and will have the script penned by Ryan Jaffe who also wrote the screenplay for The Rocker. Production is expected to start in Spring.
