After announcing that he was retiring from playing live in 2002, it appears that Aussie music legend John Farnham can’t be kept away from a microphone – he just wants to perform! The Australian music icon has announced that he’s set to make yet another comeback tour this October to mark the release of his album Whispering Jack 25 years ago, which became the biggest selling Aussie album of all time to that date.

In 2009, however, he admitted to a seven year itch, which saw him playing shows for fans in country areas and no doubt laying the plans for what will be one of the biggest tours of 2011-12. Farnham appeared to have been ready to settle in to retirement until he joined forces with Coldplay at the Sydney Sound Relief Concert where they performed ‘You’re The Voice’ together. “When I walked off stage I was two foot taller,” said Farnham.

Fans will have to keep waiting but we can expect news on dates for the tour soon!
