Bluesfest’s lineup for 2012 is already overflowing with huge names such as Crosby Stills & Nash, Roger Daltrey from The Who, Earth Win & Fire, and local icons Cold Chisel. But not content with just that the organisers have expanded the lineup yet again and amongst the fourth announcement are more than a few welcome surprises.

Joining the lineup is John Fogerty, the former frontman of Creedence Clearwater Revival, who will be performing the music and albums from the iconic American band. Also added to the expanded lineup is Ziggy Marley, son of Bob, Candi Staton, David Bromberg Band, Canned Heat, Richard Clapton, Blitzen Trapper, and more.

Festival director Peter Noble says, “We’ve unveiled some amazing headliners and celebrated bands coming to Byron Bay for Bluesfest 2012, but now our fourth announcement is the final touch which really tips the scales into overdrive. It’s certainly one of the best Bluesfest’s I’ve ever booked. Following on from the big headline acts in earlier announcements, our fourth artist unveiling is full of more headline surprises.”

And they’re not stopping there, with a fifth, yes fifth announcement planned for the future.

Bluesfest will be held at its home at Tyagarah Tea Tree farm just off the Pacific Highway, 12 minutes north of Byron Bay from Thursday April 5 through to Monday April 9, 2012.

Bluesfest 5 Day, 3 Day and Single Day Tickets are on sale through www.bluesfest.com.au or by phoning the BLUESFEST office on 02 6685 8310. Camping on site available.
