It was only about 12 months ago that the legendary Concrete Blonde flew to Australia to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of their Bloodletting album and now Frontier Touring are wrapt to announce iconic frontwoman Johnette Napolitano’s return for a series of exclusive shows in the The Famous Spiegeltent.
The series of appearances will be ‘Self Portrait, 2012’ and is Johnette Napolitano stripped bare. She will perform re-worked acoustic versions of select, seminal Concrete Blonde tracks from across the entire catalogue accompanied simply by herself either on piano or acoustic guitar.
In true Spiegeltent style though, the events will also have a twist of difference as Johnette (pictured here with Concrete Blonde) reads from Rough Mix, her first book featuring memoirs, stories, poetry, lyrics and essays. As a very special insight for fans, three original pieces of Napolitano’s art will be auctioned for the Humane Society Of Australia.
All three of the Johnette Napolitano ‘Self Portrait, 2012’ performances are to be filmed for a Live Solo DVD for release in 2012.
