Melbourne favourites King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard continue on their meteoric rise this year by announcing they’ve signed a distro deal with Shock for their debut EP Willoughby’s Beach.

The band were recently also nominated by The Age for their EG Awards, and will be bring their unique brand of menace to both Meredith Music Festival and the Big Day Out in Melbourne next year.

Their deal with Shock Entertainment is for an exclusive distribution deal that will see Willoughby’s Beach drop this December 16 in all good record stores.

“The guys have a killer live set and a very distinctive sound that sets them apart from the pack,” said David Peacock of Shock Records. “Having come up quickly through Triple J Unearthed and onto the Triple J playlist it was time to give them some national exposure in traditional retail to warrant the airplay and the stunning amount of good shows they’re currently receiving.”
