Kings of Leon have denied reports that they’ve sacked singer Caleb Followill over his alcohol abuse which led to an onstage meltdown a fortnight ago. Although reports had suggested that Followill’s band mates had implored him to take a trip to rehab, gossip suggesting that he had been kicked out of the band was too much for drummer Nathan Followill.

He took to Twitter to say:

Although bassist Jared Followill has stated that the band suffer from  “internal sicknesses and problems”, it appears that they’re still following through with their plan to take a break after blowing out dates in the US and Canada while their singer seeks help.

Fans will no doubt be hoping that they still make it down under for their tour this November which saw the rescheduling of dates originally slotted in for March after drummer Nathan Followill injured an arm in a yachting accident, of all rock and roll past times.
