Mother knows best right? Betty Ann Murphy, Mum of Kings Of Leon members Caleb, Jared and Nathan Followill and Mathew Followill’s aunty, has vouched that her boys will be back “better than ever”.

According to their Mum, who has most likely grounded them all and put them to work mowing the lawn and taking the rubbish out; Caleb Followill’s recent drunken onstage meltdown and their tour cancellation doesn’tspell the end of the band.

According to America’s Star magazine, Mum said “They’ll be back better than ever. It’s not the end of the band.” She reckons that none of Kings Of Leon need a spell in rehab because of their drinking, saying: “Sometimes they all drink more than they should – they’re young men and go on a binge. None of them need rehab.”

Kings Of Leon blowing out the remaining dates on their recent US tour apparently cost their insurers over $15 million and will have promoters of their upcoming Australian tour nervously checking the insurance policy for the tour which has already been delayed once due to drummer Nathan Followill’s arm injury.

The Tennessee band canned the remaining dates of their US tour earlier this month, offering frontman Caleb Followill’s “vocal issues and exhaustion” (read: he’s got a drinking problem) as an excuse. The band are set to return to the live circuit on 28th of September in Canada.
