The long-winded feud between Liam and Noel Gallagher – which even just days ago was in full force when Liam accused his brother of cursing the England football team during the World Cup – may be coming to an end.

45-year-old Liam has not only forgiven Noel, but he’s expressed his wishes for an Oasis reunion.

Taking to Twitter overnight, Liam Gallagher said:

“Earth to noel listen up rkid I hear your doing gigs where people can’t drink alcohol now that’s the BeZarist thing you’ve done yet I forgive you now let’s get the BIG O back together and stop fucking about the drinks are on me LG x.”

It’s been almost 10 years since Oasis split in 2009, putting an end to the brothers’ trademark onstage arguments and taking what is perceived as one of the longest-running public beefs in music history onlineNoel Gallagher has said the feud began when he was just 15, after he drunkenly, but accidentally, urinated on Noel’s new sound system.

Noel Gallagher explains how the feud began:

Oasis fans have taken to Twitter to express their joy in the only way an Oasis fan knows how, with a hint of farce:

However, one follower replied to Liam’s tweet with a dig at his last Beady Eye solo record, and called a reunion “desperate”. Liam’s new loving demeanour meant he didn’t bite back, instead replying with, “I’m not desperate just think it’d be a nice thing to do.”
