If you’re a hardcore fan of Limp Bizkit, then you might have spent the last six years lamenting the loss of longtime turntablist DJ Lethal. However, a recent performance in New Zealand has renewed speculation that Lethal might be back with the band for good.

Back in 2012, fans bore witness to an awful lot of in-fighting between DJ Lethal and other Limp Bizkit members. Following Lethal’s departure from the band in mid-2012, he apparently returned to the group later that year, only to leave again soon after.

Understandably, many fans were shattered, citing DJ Lethal’s addition to the group as one of the elements that set them apart from most other nu-metal bands out there.

However, as some lucky fans have taken to social media to illustrate, it seems that DJ Lethal might be back with the group once more.

With Limp Bizkit appearing at New Zealand’s Storm The Gates Festival last night for their first shows since August 2017, one fan took to Instagram to share photographic evidence of the group’s beloved DJ taking to the decks once more, before DJ Lethal also confirmed his appearance with a post to his own social accounts.

This news comes almost a year after it was announced that Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst had apparently squashed his beef with the group’s ex-DJ, with Lethal stating at the time, “I’ve been talking to Fred a lot lately, actually. I went by his house probably about a week ago, and we broke bread.”

“Time changes stuff, man, and you learn to figure out what’s important. Besides all the drama that happened, we’re still friends. We still go way back together, and we just put everything aside, and we hung out like nothing ever happened.”

As it stands, the last Limp Bizkit album, Gold Cobra, was released back in 2011, prior to DJ Lethal’s departure. With the group’s next album, Stampede Of The Disco Elephants, reportedly having been in production hell for many of last seven years, there’s no word yet as to whether Lethal’s reunion with the group will kickstart the album’s production once again.

Limp Bizkit are currently in New Zealand, but set to make their way to Australia later this week for the inaugural Download Festival, in addition to a number of sideshows around the country. Be sure to check out tour dates below, and make sure you find yourself in one of the sweatiest moshpits going around this year.
