I am pleased to announce the launch of the Tone Deaf Live section on the site. We’ve been busy behind the scenes working on some live nights to showcase the great talent we write about each and every day.

The first of those, Monotone (fortnightly Thursdays at Revolver, Melbourne), is a grass roots style Rock, Indie, Alternative night. It allows bands to grasp an understanding of playing live in front of an audience of labels, agents, promoters and managers fortnightly. It teaches bands the ropes of the Australian music industry and allows them a head start in their careers.

Secondly, Deaf Sessions (monthly Fridays at Cherry Bar, Melbourne), brings live performance to one of Melbourne’s premier rock venues. Deaf Sessions brings some of Melbourne’s best live acts in an intimate setting off AC/DC lane. Rub shoulders with industry & punters who make up the heart of the city’s scene. Performances are recorded live and available for download.

And last but certainly not least, Tone Deaf (monthly Saturdays at Ding Dong, Melbourne), showcasing the best bands from around the country, plus select international guests. Tone Deaf is Melbourne’s number 1 premier live music event. A night of music and art; Tone Deaf also showcases the talents of video artists and live performance artists.

We hope that you’ll come to one of our nights on the calendar. Check out the new live section located in the top menu to read about what we have organised each week.
