Following on from the release of White’s debut solo single ‘Love Interruption’ which was released for download two weeks ago, the former frontman for The White Stripes is back, this time with his b-side track ‘Machine Gun Silhouette’.

Both tracks come from his debut solo album Blunderbuss which was produced by White and recorded at his own Third Man Studio in Nashville. White describes Blunderbuss as “an album I couldn’t have released until now. I’ve put off making records under my own name for a long time but these songs feel like they could only be presented under my name. These songs were written from scratch, had nothing to do with anyone or anything else but my own expression, my own colors on my own canvas.”

Jack White – Machine Gun Silhouette

‘Machine Gun Silhouette’ is a decidedly more upbeat than White’s a-side ‘Love Interruption’, and features a heavy country/bluegrass twang that is a natural fit for White’s trademark garage sensibilities. Blunderbuss is due for release on 24th April this year. A 7″ of the single featuring Machine Gun Silhouette and Love Interruption is available today (February 7) at Third Man Records.
