The Grammys haven’t always given rock the respect it deserves, but alas, 2018 has seen awards fall into some very worthy guitar wielding hands.

Mastodon were honoured with the coveted “Best Metal Performance” category for their song ‘Sultan’s Curse’ off 2017’s Emporer Of Sand, a track that divided fans but showcased the band’s proclivity for crafting hook-drenched, concrete-cracking riffage. The band have taken to Instagram to express their gratitude for the award.
