Hey guys we’re Mesa Cosa, we play messy loud noise garage noise en ingles and espanol.

What’s your earliest memory of performing and who inspired you to start?

Our first gig was at the Tote in the Cobra Bar upstairs. It was insane. A tarot reader told us we should start a band so a gang of us got together and started writing songs.

You must answer this question honestly or we steal your rider. What and where was the first gig you went to?

The Rolling Stones in Mexico City!

‘Fess up. What records have you stolen from your parent’s record collection and why?

The B52’s, Joe Cocker, The Batman Soundtrack (Prince) & Black Sabbath

What’s on heavy rotation on your iPod right now?

Thee oh Sees, Graveyard V, Future of the Left, Cannabis Corpse, Black Lips, Isaac Asimov, Bones Brigade, Molotov, Impetuous Ritual, Davila 666, Baptism of Uzi, The Baja Marimba Band, Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Mesa Cosa, The Velvet Underground.

How do you find new music?

Me gusta.

Do you have any particular ritual before you go on stage, or even a lucky charm you take with you?

Nic wears a rabbits foot, StewArt goes barefoot, Knives eats chicken bones, Pablo breaks tuners, Lloyd prays to Cthulhu, Marty adjusts his glasses.

If you could curate your own festival, where would it be, who would be on the bill, how many people would you let in and what features would it have?

ONE NIGHT ONLY! Party in the land of the dead! Entry is GRATIS, FREE, NADA, EL ZILCHO!!
**Starring: The B52’s, Los Saicos, Spacemen 3! ** An infinite party of ridiculous proportions!! All are welcome, dead, undead, living and soon to die! Comfortable seating! Parking out the back! FREE Chili Tacos, Limes, SANGRIA! Micheladas!

When you’re Rolling Stones Big, what are you going to request on your rider: don’t be shy. We want specifics!

We’ll probably never get a rider, but we can scam some coupons.

Because it’s more fun to do things together, which living Australian artist would you most like to collaborate with? Tell us why?

John Saffran? Rolf Harris? Ken Done? too may to choose from.

What is your band’s music the best soundtrack for?

Noisy dirty garage noise fiesta.

Where we can see you play next, what releases do you have available and where can we get them?

We’re printing 7 of our favorite songs on 10 inches of black vinyl and releasing them at our EP LAUNCH! at the Tote on February 24. Also playing a bunch of shows with some amazing bands like the Puta Madre Brothers, The Toot Toot Toots, and Brat Farrar and more.
