Mick Fleetwood, founding member of Fleetwood Mac, and arguably one of the most experienced musicians alive today, is set to arrive in Australia later this year to promote a new book chronicling the history of his legendary rock group.

Mick Fleetwood’s Love That Burns: A Chronicle Of Fleetwood Mac, Volume One 1967–1974 is a history of the legendary band’s first seven years, which, if you’re keeping score, outlines their first nine albums, and takes the reader right up to the year before the group released their self-titled mainstream breakthrough in 1975.

At this stage though, there’s no news yet as to when the second volume of Mick Fleetwood’s Fleetwood Mac chronicle is set to be released (or even written), but that’s undoubtedly the volume that fans of juicy gossip and in-fighting will be clamouring for.

To help celebrate and promote the book, Mick Fleetwood has organised a rather unique opportunity for lucky fans of the band in Sydney and Melbourne. Fleetwood is set to hold a three-course dinner and cocktail event which will also feature a Q&A session for fans.

Taking place in Sydney on November 28th, and Melbourne on December 2nd, the event will also give fans an opportunity for photos with the legendary drummer, in addition to receiving a personally signed copy of the limited edition book.

Of course, fans are also hoping that this won’t be the only trip to Australia that Mick Fleetwood is going to make, with Fleetwood Mac’s Christine McVie teasing a world tour of the band’s legendary Rumours lineup in 2018.

“We’re going to start rehearsing in March next year. The tour is around June. It will be global,” McVie was quoted as saying. Whether this global tour is actually going to land in Australia is unclear at this stage, but we’re definitely holding out for that official announcement to come our way.
