Despite not having Van Halen’s headline set to announce the line up for Soundwave 2012 as the background to, Soundwave organisers appear to have brushed off the outrage of fans and started revealing bands which will be playing the festival in 2012. In addition to those announced earlier in the week, such as Trivium, Devin Townsend and Madina Lake; a number of other bands have now been added to the line up in the usual Soundwave drip feed style which aims to keep the festival name in the music press every week.

Today, we learn that Dillinger Escape Plan and Shadows Fall will be playing the event in February and March 2012,while organiser AJ Maddah has resumed his trusty Twitter feed, saying that a number of bands which were booked to play Soundwave Revolution will now come out for Soundwave proper. They include The Used, Hellyeah, Black Veil Brides, and Gojira.

He’s also revealed that Hatebreed and Machinehead are likely to be added to the bill, while at the moment a number of bands previously booked for Soundwave Revolution are currently trying to rearrange their schedules to make Soundwave 2012, including Steel Panther, Framing Hanley and Times of Grace.

Meanwhile fans who had purchased Soundwave Revolution tickets can go to the event’s Facebook page for an update on how to get a refund. http://www.facebook.com/soundwaverevolution
