With a similar sound to the likes of Coldplay, Boy and Bear, and City and Colour, Short Fall’s EP Make A Move launches with a brilliant guitar riff, followed by the beautiful harmonic vocals from Rockhampton brothers Angelo and Ryan Conway in ‘Maybe We’re Losing’; a sure sign of good things to come.

After receiving a grant from Rockhampton Regional Council’s Regional Arts Development Fund to aid in the making of the record, the boys hit the studio in Bryon Bay with producer Anthony Lycenko, to create a record that definitely reflects Lycenko’s previous workings with Pete Murray and Busby Marou.

The upbeat intro is followed by the softer, dreamy track of ‘Make A Move’, and the acoustic number of ‘The Meadow’, with lyrics about a love-gone-wrong that could almost make you shed a tear.

If their previous EP itself didn’t demonstrate it enough, ‘Hide & Seek’ showcases The Short Fall’s ability to take you on a ride that starts down low and slow on acoustic guitars, becoming climbing right up to the louder sounds of electric guitars, as well as showing you all that’s in between.

The brothers have made a name for themselves in their local music scene of Central Queensland, gathering attention for their original and soulful music. Make A Move is a piece that demonstrates the fruits of the boys hard work and is sure to bring nothing but good fortune for them in times to come.
