Mexican born, Texas bred Alex Palomo, the brains behind indie electronic outfit Neon Indian, will be heading ‘Down Under’ this Summer thanks to Popfrenzy Records.

To celebrate the release of his sophomore album ‘Era Extraña’ (Spanish translation meaning ‘Strange Era’) released in September, Palomo will be heading to Australia with a string of dates during February and March 2012. Palomo’s glo-fi, chillwave tunes were first introduced to us via his 2009 debut LP ‘Psychic Chasms’. A massive success and extensive touring lead to Neon Indian supporting Massive Attack, The Flaming Lips, Chromeo and Phoenix, to top it all off they also played the infamous SXSW festival.

When performing, Palomo is joined on stage by a live band, consisting of Jason Faries (drums) and Leanne Macomber (keyboard, vocals) who also performed on the recording of ‘Era Extraña’.  Recorded in Finland and produced by Dave Fridmann (The Flaming Lips, MGMT), ‘Era Extraña’ is sure to be another fine release from Neon Indian, out now on Popfrenzy Records.
