The Horrors are set to release a new album entitled Skying on 11th July, which will see it preceded by the new single ‘Still Life’ which the band have released to fans on Youtube. The successor the Southend Band’s band’s critically acclaimed and Mercury Prize nominated second album, Primary Colours, the new long player was recorded in the band’s own studio in Dalston, East London and sees them using the synth washes of its predecessor as a starting point.

However, if the new single is anything to go by, it sees them looking at life in a far more positive fashion and perhaps even growing beyond the ‘angry young man’ phase of life. Singer Faris Badawan appears to havea had a few singing lessons which sees them almost straying in to the MOR territory of Simple Minds and other middle aged house wife fodder.

The track listing runs:
‘Changing the Rain’
‘You Said’
‘I Can See Through You’
‘Endless Blue’
‘Dive In’
‘Still Life’
‘Wild Eyed’
‘Moving Further Away’
‘Monica Gems’
‘Oceans Burning’
