The music industry are nursing their collective hangovers this morning after a fantastic show in Melbourne last night at the Air Awards. Held at Revolt in Kensington, AIR and their partner Jagermeister pulled out all stops and actually managed to put on an enjoyable awards ceremony; no easy feat.

Attendees were treated to performances by Calling All Cars, Emma Louise, Adalita, The Holidays, Illy and Owl Eyes, but it was The Jezabels that took top honour winning both Best Independent Artist and Best Independent Single/EP. Crowd favourite Adalita didn’t go home empty handed however picking up the award for Best Indepedent Album which she dedicated to her former Magic Dirt bandmate Dean Turner who recently passed away.
