We only got a press release about a benefit concert planned in which Sherbet were going to reform to aid funds for his cancer relief and set our Mums off going crazy, but alas it was too late. Harvey James, guitarist for legendary 70s band Sherbet passed away over the weekend. His daughter Alexandra announced his passing on Facebook saying “Dad passed away peacefully at 8.15pm tonight,” reads her post. “We would like to thank everybody for all the wonderful support over the past 6 months. The love has been overwhelming. Rest in peace my gorgeous, funny, amazing father. We will miss you everyday forever”. Harvey James was in the Little River Band before joining Sherbet and co-writing their smash hit ‘Howzat’. Tone Deaf would like to extend our deepest sympathy to family, friends and fans.
