Although busy winning an Oscar for his film scoring work as well as working on his new outfit How To Destroy Angels, Trent Reznor has revealed that he’s about to get cracking on some new Nine Inch Nails material. Despite the band performing their last shows in 2009, he popped up on the NIN website fan forum to update the world on what’s happening in the land of Reznor.

“Nine Inch Nails is not dead and I plan to focus on that next,” he wrote, without going in to any detail. He explained to fans that he was spreading himself across three projects for the foreseeable future. “The three columns of things I’m currently funnelling music into — HDTA, NIN, and film work — I believe will start to make sense to you (and me) as everything unfolds,” he wrote. “By having a few different outlets for my work, I’m finding more inspiration within each one.”
