Goddamn – this sort of news would make us actually vote for a politician! A new poll suggests that were Bruce Springsteen to run for the position of Governor of New Jersey, he’d romp it in. According to a poll conducted by Public Policy Polling, the boss would tie with current Republican incumbent Chris Christie, but when it comes to favourability ratings, The Boss would romp it in. According to the mob deriving the poll, “Springsteen has favourability numbers any politician would die for.” No shit eh?

Perhaps knowing when a bandwagon is worth jumping on, Governor Christie has come out declaring his love for The Boss, vouching for the fact that he has seen the ‘Born To Run’ singer a whopping 125 times. Apparently he even asked The Boss to perform at his Gubernatorial inauguration in 2009 but got the big KB. However, it’s unlikely that The Boss is going to be popping around to Governor Christie’s place for a cup of tea and a biscuit any time soon – Springsteen has even written to the local paper fuming over Christie’s budget cuts.

He says “The cuts are eating away at the lower edges of the middle class, not just those already classified as in poverty, and are likely to continue to get worse.” While we hope The Boss keeps rocking, what could be more awesome than Springsteen running for public office in The States? You’ve got our vote Bruce!
